1 Throughout the ages, God spoke to our ancestors in fractured bursts and through vivid, prophetic dreams. He whispered through burning bushes and thunderous mountain peaks.
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 But now, in the climax of history, He has spoken His final, perfect word to us through His Son. This Son is not just a messenger; He is the heir of the cosmos, the very architect through whom time and space were forged.
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 He radiates the blinding glory of God and bears the exact imprint of His divine nature, holding the universe together by the sheer force of His commanding voice. After single-handedly purging the stain of our rebellion, He sat down in triumph at the right hand of the Majestic Glory on high.
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
